clearer home, calmer mind

Welcome to Sustainable Space
Sustainable Space is a professional organising company. We believe that a clearer home means a calmer mind. We work with clients to help them declutter, recycle and then reset their space. We are passionate about reducing waste in homes. If you're overwhelmed by the clutter in your home, we can help.

Sustain the Space
Our aim is to ensure that once you've made the effort to create a clearer home, the sense of calm that comes with that becomes easy to maintain.
So once we've worked with you to declutter your home, we'll set up easy-to-maintain systems so the clutter doesn't build up again.
After we leave we'll check in with you over the following weeks to discuss how your personalised systems are working and consider if anything might need tweaking.

Sustainable Living
We'll encourage you wherever possible to reuse any storage you already have in your home before looking to buy more.

Once you've chosen the items you're no longer keeping, we'll help to ensure that as much as possible goes to relevant charities so that it's reused rather than ending up as landfill.
We can also discuss methods of reducing or reusing your household waste, and can set up systems for composting and recycling if that's something that interests you.

I am Sinead and I am the owner of Sustainable Space. Before I set up the company, I worked as a Television Producer in London. I worked on a number of property programmes, and was responsible for working with homeowners to clear rooms or sometimes entire houses. Together, we would work through their belongings before we would ‘reset’ the house ready for a makeover. This process was something I found so rewarding.
As I married and started a family, I found that the organisational skills I had gained at work were needed more than ever at home. At this point we decided to buy a larger property with enough space for my mum to live with us. This involved streamlining my mum's belongings with those of our young family, and keeping on top of a house with three adults, two kids and two dogs!
Shortly after the move I decided to set up Sustainable Space. I wanted to use my skills to help others as I'd seen firsthand how much lighter people felt after they had less ‘stuff’ surrounding them. I also was becoming more aware of how much waste we all produce, and could see that a large amount was a direct result of a lack or organisation. I knew I had the skills and passion to help.
